BE-SAFE: YOUTH POWER TACTICS
THIS IS NOT AN ASSEMBLY LINE KARATE CLASS! IT IS NOT AN INEFFECTIVE PROGRAM THAT TEACHES THINGS THAT DON'T WORK! This is the only program which has a system of techniques specially designed for youth of all ages and sizes, giving them the ability to release themselves from an attackers grab. These techniques will empower the student and help them to walk through life with real confidence instead of fear.
You hear the sad reports on the evening news that speak of children that were abducted. You think to yourself what if that was my child? God forbid, but what if it was? What would they do?
That is what Martial Artist and father of two, Thomas Guzman-Sanchez pondered three years ago. "It made me sick to think that someone someday might attack my child. I wanted to know that my child would BE SAFE. After some research I found out that the children who screamed and fought their attackers advance had a greater chance of escaping to get help.
1) Attackers want easy targets,
2) They do not want to work hard or be noticed.
I have trained for over thirty years in the Martial Arts and formulated special techniques that a child or small person could use in a life and death situation where every second counts. The idea here is not to start doing allot of fancy kicks but apply simple, common sense reactions. Within each one hour class our objective is to safely expose the students to different scenarios and give them the real tools (without scaring anybody) to be strong, be ready and BE SAFE."
We know that there are no guarantees in this world we live in. But to give our children an edge on life and inspire them through this program not to be afraid but instead to "BE STRONG, BE PREPARED, and BE THEIR BEST." Wouldn't we all rather BE SAFE than sorry?...

LEARN POWER TACTICS TO BATTLE ABDUCTORS
WHO:
All adults and kids ages 5 and up led by chief Instructor Master Thomas Guzman-Sanchez. (30 yrs martial art experience and father of two, ages 4 and 6).
WHAT::
Pro Active kids are learning the Art of Energy and Motion - Youth Power Tactics TM (YPT), an exclusive and empowering self-protection system that instructs children how to deal with strangers and how to break free from an abductors grip while being pulled - knowledge that is crucial in a life or death situation. For adults its the very effective Power Tactic self -protection system. Classes are very visual and unlike many martial arts programs, both the YPT and Power TacticSystem techniques are applicable in real world situations. Instructor and Power Tactic creator Thomas Guzman-Sanchez has committed his time to teach this totally effective system.
WHEN:
Every Friday at 5:00PM and Monday at 4:30 PM. These classes last approx. 90 minutes and are open to the public.
WHERE:
The location is at the The Dance Center 8664 Lindley Ave. Northridge, CA 91325 (south east corner of Parthenia and Lindley.
WHY:
Recent national headlines detailing brazen child abduction have shocked and frightened parents and their children. With over 650 registered sex offenders in the San Fernando Valley alone, many concerned parents do not know how to prepare their kids for dangerous situations. Some have resorted to enrolling their children in martial art schools that dot nearly every corner in California. Unfortunately the majority of these schools charge exorbitant fees and teach sport martial arts which is not useful for self-defense. This also gives parents and students a false sense of security. The Art of Energy and Motion - Power TacticsTM system is designed expressly for children or smaller individuals and is a positive step adults are now taking to give their kids and themself an edge in an increasingly unpredictable and dangerous world.
HOW:
Through Youth Power Tactics, kids are trained how to overcome their natural tendency to freeze-up in dangerous situations. With the utmost sensitivity to a child's needs and fears, instructor Thomas Guzman-Sanchez teaches the correct and most effective self-defense responses to a variety of abduction scenarios. This is also goes for his adult female and male students. Thomas says: My exclusive techniques help increase an individuals confidence and inner strength. Moreover, I require all students to practice these techniques repeatedly until the Power Tactic system becomes second nature.
